A family-run business spanning generations.

For over 70 years, Federal Steel has been trusted with space optimization, industrial material handling, and storage needs for a wide array of industries.

It all started in 1950...

with William Coveny, a visionary who spent most of his career developing space management and material handling solutions for his clients. His original promise continues to be the company’s mission statement to this day; “Take care of our customers and have their satisfaction at heart.”

Today, William’s son Shawn Coveny acts as company president and remains dedicated to carrying on his father’s vision.

Shawn officially joined the management team in 1980 after working several different in-house posts. In 2012, Shawn’s oldest son Jamie joined the fold, becoming the first third-generation family member at Federal Steel. Jamie’s brother Andrew has since joined the team, as well, ensuring Federal Steel remains a genuine family business.
